Nothing is mushkil for Anushka Sharma at 28, but I say she has paved her way from all the mushkil path and now reached a point in her career where she can relax and be determined at the same time. Having two blockbuster releases lined up for her this year Sultan and Aye Dil hai Mushkil, it seems the one of the most sought out actress in Bollywood would be at little ease. On account of her birthday here’s a list of 13 reasons why we can’t get enough of this badass actress.
1.She’s called a youth Icon.
There are people who create lotta buzz around them about their work and then there are some who let their work do the talking. One such actress is Anushka Sharma, with the ability to influence people by her line of work and also being active for too many social causes.
2. She represents a generation that really doesn’t give an F about ‘Log Kya Kahenge’.
We belong to a generation who wanna do things that are termed unconventional or risky by others, but that’s pretty normal to us. We are a generation who wanna do things by our own and break the norms of the society. We don’t really wanna make noise doing it, we just wanna break free and let everyone be at peace at the same time. Anushka Sharma is one such twenty-something woman, who’s just living her dream.
3. She made it big in the industry without a godfather at only 21.
Hailing from Bangalore, graduating from Mount Carmel college, after walking the ramp for Wendel Rodricks at the Lakme Fashion Week at 19, she auditioned for movies. Starting from scratch, she’s made her name in the industry where it’s really hard for a newcomer to last this long.
4. She starred opposite to SRK even after being turned down by KJo. Unintentionally off course.
It’s said Karan Johar didn’t see her as Tanni of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and asked Aditya Chopra to cast some other woman who had auditioned. it so happened that Anushka only played the role, and the actress has not looked back since then.
5. She had a hat-trick of first 3 films to be super-hit, and 3rd one got her the Best Actress award!
She signed a 3 film contract with Yash raj :
1.Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi – it was a blockbuster hit, as her performance.
2.Badmash Company – the movie did well, and she pushed the envelope of the quirky Bulbul and was loved by the critics.
3. Band Baja Barat – Now this movie was really well-received and she got her well-deserved love from both the box-office nd the critics. She then further went out to receive the IIFA Best Actress Award for the same.
6. When she was the Kick-ass lady of Ricky Bahl.
Her next movie Patiala House didn’t do well at the Box-office, but with her next stint with Yash Raj where she played the role of a smart woman who can really hurt where it hurts, kicked some fine Ranveer Singh ass. No wonder the crowd went crazy for her.
7. This one is for Akira.
Just when you thought she is missing for too long from the Silver Screen, she was back with a bang as Akira for Jab Tak hai Jaan. Anushka’s role as an energetic and ambitious Discovery Channel reporter opposite her first Co-star and Badshah of Bollywood was loved by all, and won’t be forgotten. She bagged a lot of awards for this one too, including the IIFA Best Actress in the Supporting Role.
8. Jagat Janani -PK
With again a long disappearance from the Silver Screen she then closed 2014 smashing al the Box-Ofice records.
9. It’s been 8 years in the Fil Industry and her work speaks for itself.
For her all her roles in the mentioned movies before, for her fierce determination in NH10 and Bombay Velvet, her work speaks volumes for her.
10. She bravely tackled her criticism for her alleged Lip-Job.
Any actress in the limelight has to look great all the f-ing time, and that’s a little bit more than demanding if you ask me. Her appearance on Koffe with Karan broke the internet. She openly accepted she underwent a surgery and said she’s not ashamed of it. “Surgery is a permanent procedure. What I did was a temporary filler for an enhanced look. I did it for Bombay velvet. Not that I was asked to do, it was my decision. On that particular day may be it didn’t look great on camera, or people saw it for the first time and found it odd, don’t know what happened. I just know it didn’t go right, but I don’t regret it was a chance that I took and learnt from it. I came on twitter to say exactly that,”You have your view, so do i.” And ultimately it’s my business so let’s be fair.”
11. She’s handled her relationship status in a dignified way.
Dating Virat Kohli is no cake walk for sure. Keeping her relationship open enough to not hide it, private enough to not over do it, is an art, and she . She’s been called a lot of things, and the brave woman has handled it with much-needed grace. Saying so, it sure must feel great having the star cricketer blowing kisses your way. We can just hope all’s well again in the lover’s paradise Anushka.
12. She believes in giving back to the society like any other successful person ought to.
13. She is brutally honest and admits “I am just competing with myself” is just not possible.
She speaks her mind like no other actress in the industry and says I am just in a competition with myself is just not possible. Everyone is competing amongst each other, trying to be the best, and she tries to keep it as healthy as possible.
And literally at the end of the day, she’s just a 28-year-old, enjoying her life.
Until next time… XOXO
